Message from the Mayor

Welcome to the City of Waverly's web site. I invite everyone to learn about the City of Waverly through this media. I also extend an invitation to all those viewers that have not visited our fair city to visit us soon. Waverly's population is just over 4000.

Waverly is a very neighborly community where citizens and officials work together for continuous growth and prosperity. Our quality of life is outstanding.

We have a strong mixed based economy with abundant service, retail and commercial businesses. Our local main street merchants work very hard to keep our downtown vibrant and thriving. Our many civic organizations contribute the seasoning for the successful business blend in the City of Waverly.

Our square is alive and well with shopping, restaurants and a movie theater. Music on the Square takes place every Saturday night, June through August. There are other tourist attractions close by, including a Civil War Fort and museum and the Loretta Lynn Dude Ranch. Waverly also sports parks, greenways and is home for the "Grandfunally" playground. Swimming, golfing, picnicking and biking are also enjoyed by residents and visitors.

Waverly is rich in history and ready for the future. Waverly offers the best in education, medical facilities and entertainment. Nashville State Community College has a campus located in our city. Our city offers small town living with big city goals and opportunities.

Please visit us soon.
